What is S60,S80,S90 and UIQ......?

S60 is a platform which runs on symbian operation system. For example if I have a cell phone which is primarily originates for series60 then we can access that it is a symbian cell phone and should be installed symbian software compatible with series 60.

However series 60, series80 and series 90 have been used by Nokia and another series called UIQ is used by Sony Ericsson. This is a little bit information about in common language.UIQ stands for User Interface Quartz.
